Being safe on your bicycle or scooter could mean a treat from Victoria’s Corner Market! Pictou District RCMP will be patrolling this summer looking for kids wearing their helmets and using their bikes, scooters and skateboards safely. If an RCMP police officer sees you staying active outside and being safe this summer you may receive a ticket for a treat at the store!

Tips for playing safe:

• Always wear your helmet with the chinstrap buckled
• Look both ways before crossing the street
• Wear bright colored clothing so you are visible to vehicles sharing the road
• Walk your bike or scooter across the road, use sidewalks when possible
